My lastpost was in Les Echarmeaux. Since then I have passed through Bourg-en-Bresse, Louhans and today arrived in Dijon. I managed to find a cheap hotel at 37 E which included breakfastbut notowels.
that was E 2 extra for a towel a packet of shampoo and a plastic cup. Iam accessing the internet on a really terrible PC in the lobby of the hotel. the keyboard really sucks!!!! Got to go Cheers Roly

ReplyDeleteKnow you're on a mission but did you get any further with the family tree thing? Reason for going to Bourg en Bresse? You're doing some of the same routes as the Tour de France. You are up in the Jutras now. That's amazing.

ReplyDeleteI see you are taking the long way to Calais? Of course you could have gone straight up after visiting your relatives. However, you seem to be making good time. I guess you will bypass Paris, as looking at the map, you can get to Calais without going through Paris. Maybe another week to the Chanhel? I guess you are out of the mountains now and, if I recollect, there are some small hills to go through east of Paris, but you may not hit them. After that, it should be clear sailing on relatively flat ground.
Hopefully the wind is at your back.
